Tammy’s entry:

“Intrigued, I love cloth nappies for bubs but never thought to use myself Cannot believe the amount of money I’ve contributed to landfill for items I usually find uncomfortable, itchy and ill-fitting…. love love love these, sounds like they’ll be softer on the lady bits too”

The new essential night pad is designed for those of us who need extra assurance overnight.  Also a comfortable pad for wearing during the day, as its form conforms to the body well.

The core made from organic bamboo velour and 2 layers of heavy weight bamboo fleece is attached to a facing of quilters flannel (Violet Swirl).  The back is the same quilters flannel and the pad has a full hidden lining of PUL.  One available but plan to make more of this style once I have caught up.  I have enough purple velour for just one more pad!  Must order more soon….  can be purchased at the Clothcycle website The Essential Night Pad

The Standard Fleece, bamboo jersey, blue geisha pad is very comfortable.

Bamboo jersey/bamboo fleece as a  pad topper is sooo soft .. perfect when tenderness is needed (forget the cardboard disposables and treat yourself).

I road tested this style of pad on my heaviest flow days and am pleased to report it performed fabulously 🙂  These are a smaller pad however, so I would tend to recommend general use for moderate flow days or as a cup back-up.

There are a couple of marked differences between this style and my usual pads:

  • soaker is sewn to top, not a hidden core
  • pad has a polyester fleece wetproof backing layer, rather than PUL
